Tots wearing spurs?! *Video*

Have always loved this video, but not so sure about the spurs...think its filmed somewhere in Germany or the Netherlands or somewhere like that so perhaps its just what people do over there?

I'm not sure if a child that young would have the control to only use the spurs when appropriate? Although equally I suppose you could argue that its kinder to the pony if it is ridden correctly with spurs rather than being constantly booted in the ribs which can be just as painful.
They look like sweet ponies and kids though :)
 
This is so sweet, reminds me of when i was much younger and had a (very naughty) shetland. He would do the course in whatever order and direction HE chose and I would bounce around on top grinning from ear to ear!
I cant ever have imagined wearing spurs that young though. I would have ended up in the next county!
I would never have had enough leg control to use the spurs properly, and I would imagine its very difficult on a small pony even for the best little riders and your effectively sitting on a barrel!

Cute ponies!
Many of the young jockeys look to have a better and still lower leg position than many adults I've seen wearing spurs. I did feel sorry for the child on the speedy shetland that slammed him into a jump wing though. :o
