tough dog dilemma....

If you've considered it, then you are serious: you know your dog best and the question I always ask is what the animal's quality of life is. If he's having a horrible time, then the time is maybe right. If he's not having a horrible time, but you are, then that's the big dilemma.

Being harsh, I'm not the type to have my dog in a wheeled frame: I'd rather PTS and did. Regardless of the heartbreak, if he is suffering and not enjoying life, it's time, but I would trial all the meds mentioned so far first.

an update (sorry if you are bored already!)

pee in blood results back - nothing wrong from it apparently..... (i don't get that - how can there be blood in pee with nothing wrong?!)

detected red blood cells, no white blood cells, no bacteria, good levels of stuff (sorry i forgot what they said - but they said it shows good kidney function...)
and they said they do not need to have further investigations.....

so god knows!

and the antihistamine they gave me that made him loose his spark(and bark ;)) was "hydroxyzine hydrochloride" .... does that mean anything to anyone?!

they are also looking into the suggested drugs for me :)
