Towbars - do I need a posh one..?!

Hi all,

Just looking at getting a towbar fitted for my soon-to-arrive trailer (yay!) and have been a bit horrified by how expensive they are!

Someone recommended a Witter but this comes up at just under £500 for my vehicle. Is this what I should expect to pay or can I go for something cheaper? Obviously, don't want to take any risks with my beloved pony but neither do I want to pay silly money if I don't have to :)

Any thoughts, you helpful towing peeps out there..?

Witter is the best known make and very reliable

That said they are only as good as the fitter. If you can find a straight forward cheaper one then I don't think there would be a problem with it!
 
I went to a massive fitter in Essex and it was £240 fitted. Ive used it loads and cant see how it could have been better?

I went to a place on the a127 by the nevendon / wickford turn off, they do come out to fit aswell - a s towbars I think?
