Hi there! I really need some advice as my brain is melting!
Ok, so I need to buy a 4x4 to tow my daughter's 300kg ish 12hh pony in a lightweight trailer.

I don't want to spend too much as I hope to buy a 3.5t when she goes on to 13.2hh in two years time. We won't be going off far or often for the next year, so I need something I can use day to day and tow on.

I've looked at a Suzuki Grand Vitara 1.6l today. Not the most powerful I know, but t has a max towing of 1600kg. I've done all the maths for the GTW and it works out ok, but I've read forums on how people think that they're rubbish to tow.

If the numbers add up, surely it's ok, or am I wrong?

Thanks in advance :)

My friend towed her 14hh cob and carriage with one, it was a bit dodgy but it was fine with the trailer brakes being in good working order. your weight would be lower, so if the costs work out id say go for it.

Thank you. Just what I wanted to hear!
