Tonight i was towing my mare to the comp centre to stay the night for her first show in the morn. She is a novice a travelling, she has been in a trailer once and a lorry twice! Was doing about 40 and saw an ambulance in my side mirror. It was a like a blue transit with ambulance written across the front and blue lights etc. odd sounding siren. But he was right up on the corner of the trailer. My mare was not amused to say the least! I moved over and he faffed about over taking! (wide/clear A road) Mare had abit of a bounce around, dont blame her really, sirens blaring behind you and you cant see it! I was really quite annoyed that he had done this when you can clearly see there is livestock in there! everytime i have met one on a ride they have gone wide and turned their sirens off and just left blues on. Just realy annoyed me that he got so close with his sirens on!
anyway, to lighten the mood. this is her ready for her first party!

Hmmm..that's a bit unfair - leaving the siren on so close to your trailer - obviously no common sense as your mare could have thrown an almighty wobbler and caused another accident! I'm not sure what the rules are concerning ' blues and twos ' but surely the emergecy vehicle still has to be driven in a manner to ensure the safety of other road users?? I've only once had an ambulance pass me and he turned his siren off as soon as he saw me coming towards him.

Anyway your mare looks pretty chilled and is looking fab - hope this little ' incident ' doesnt ruin your party..

she was very good considering. it was the most bizzare looking ambulance. didnt even look like a private ambulance. very odd!
