It does worry me somewhat - there's enough people out there towing badly this is just going to make matters worse. :(
But those people can tow already, all the test did was restrict weight? We still tow a horse trailer on a b license currently.
Arguably small single axle trailers are harder to reverse than a double axled jobby. They are Also a lot less stable to tow.

Im a dinosaur...I was sitting watching them before the test came in and looking forward to doing it again!
Smaller trailers are a lot less stable to tow and Evan worse because people don't know how to load them !
Caravans are hideous when they Hoy all their junk on the floor at the front and they are going down the road with the car loaded to the hilt at the back. .

I don't think a lot of people realise that it isnt a free for all quite yet. I have seen so many more boxes on the road than normally would over the last week since the change was announced, I don't think anyone paid attention to the start date for it just the headline.

Well after 19 years of driving I bit the bullet and took my B+e test in July this year... That was a worthwhile use of time, stress and money...???

I hope no one goes out of business because the training isn't required anymore.

My licence doesn't currently allow me to tow a trailer but when the law changes I wouldn't rush out without lessons at the very least.

Similarly, I have a full cat A license but I havent ridden a bike in years so if I was to get back on two wheels, I'd get a few refresher lessons.

I also took mine in July. I'm glad I did, at least should law change again, I am covered for life.... and I have more experience and knowledge to tow.
