Towing Joke! You couldnt make it up!

Other half drives for a living, on way home tonight he calls me from a pub car park where he is taking a break!! Little pub in East Ilsley whic is near Newbury, Berks, he has followed them down the A34, they can hardly go over 25mph up the hilly bits whilst towing...

Why?


They are towing with a HONDA ACCORD car! - an ifor williams trailer and 2 large horses. Bold as brass unload horses in pub car park and pop off for a hack!!!

If it was you I make no apology having seen a trailer jack knife when towed by a car with too much weight being towed!

(OH is horsey and also knows all his kerb weights, said it was a miracle the car could even brake! - if not safely!).
 
I can beat that! I saw a RENAULT CLIO towing a Bateson with 2 Horses in it. I posted about it at the time and most people replied saying 'are you sure it was a clio?'. Yes, it 100% was. It was also going very slowly (no wonder).

It's an absolute joke isn't it. And people get their nickers in a twist with Feelanders towing 1 Horse.

I was driving up a bypass a couple of weeks ago, doing 70 mph when I looked in my mirror and noticed a jeep pulling am IW trailer catching me up! He probably would have tried to overtake if his exit hadn't been so near.
Don't know if there were horses in the back, but surely this type of speed is not safe to tow anything.
