Im planning on buying a disco and trailer next year, but only passed my test in 2001 so have to do the new test. I plan on towing with someone else in the car (a pre-97er!) and L plates to start with, but would still like a few lessons first, and then eventually more lessons to prepare me for the test.
Can anyone reccommend somewhere/someone to have lessons with, Im in south west lancs, near the merseyside border? And is it best to wait till I actually have my own vehicle and learn in that, or should I have lessons before getting it? And how much do lessons tend to cost?
Sorry if these questions seem really daft, I have no experience of towing at all and it looks really hard so I need all the help I can get! Plus Im terrified of killing the horsey!

Have a look on the caravan club website they usually have training sessions listed. I know it's caravans but the principle is the same. I think they do some of the training at Myerscough. I've definitely seen some training there so if it's not the caravan club then give Myerscough a ring and they'll be able to tell you who it is. Sure there will be other venues nearer to you but it might give you a starting point.

Good luck

I had mine done with North Manchester HGV training... it is near the Audi garage in Bolton.

I had a four day (should have been five but had something on one of them) intensive course and passed first time. Keith was brilliant with me!
