Can anyone recommend a towing vehicle? Looking at the Santa Fe or an Outlander. Which is bigger?

Quite nervous about the move to towing from having a "normal" sized car. Excited about parking camera though! I'll only be towing 5 - 10 times a year to begin with, so really want as small a setup as I can get away with. I just have one cob and one kid ?

Depends what you’re towing- trailer weight, horse weight. Will you be driving through fields/rough tracks/up steep inclines or mainly tarmac roads? There’s quite a bit of difference in spec bewteen an Outlander and Santa Fe. Neither I’ve looked in to in great depth but I don’t think the Outlander has much towing capability.

Santa Fe is much bigger. I bought one several months ago and have been very pleased with it so far. There are some very cheap ones out there, and they seem to routinely run to fairly high mileages, so a bit of a bargain as a tow car.
Not very economical but comfortable and more dog-room than a Discovery.
I was put off the outlander when I did a bit of research. Can't remember why. Santa Fe didn't seem to have any off-putting common problems, and the steep depreciation is in your favour if you're buying an old one.
