Towing Show Equitrekka

Having a conundrum about my current Ssangyong Musso use to tow equitrek show trekka. Two serious mechanical engine faults covered by warranty. Vechile value £15k. Do I keep Musso until end of warranty 2 years or swap out for older 4x4. Any ideas? Q7 or Tourag but older cars is this sensible? Trailer weight 1750 kg? 17 hh eventer. Tack and grooming kit. Pre 1997 licence. Welcome your thoughts.

A quick search shows that, in general, the Ssangyong Musso has a 3500 kg towing capacity, which is as good as it gets, so it should be up to the job.
But with that luck, I'd be tempted to swap for something else as it hasn't been reliable.

I have encountered a similar situation: when the guarantee is there, but the car is no longer trustworthy after serious breakdowns. I would not hold on to the Ssangyong Musso if there is an opportunity to change to something more reliable, especially when it comes to pulling horses and a trailer. Q7 or Touareg - both good options, as long as the car has with transparent service history. I would advise looking at the technical condition of the particular piece, not only the make and model.
