appologise in advance as i know everyone is possibly fed up with these types of questions - and yes i intend to pass my test soon....
meanwhile...
Nissan terrano 2.7 weighs 1750kg, average trailer weighs 1000kg, my horse weighs around 600kg.
GOV.UK says "tow a trailer over 750kg MAM as long as the combined weight of the trailer and towing vehicle is no more than 3,500kg"
am i being thick here, or can i legaly tow my horse around? Im no brainbox but surely these wieghts add up to less than 3500? chuck in a bit of tack etc and yes we are possibly closer to 3500.
what am i missing?
I am planning on doing a long term hire (3months) of a trailer untill i get this horse sold. Then i will buy another horse and possibly a 3.5 lorry or at this point take my trailer test. But i need to get past this point first as i dont have 700 lying around to take a test which i may never use again.
