Towing Test

Hopefully someone on here will have the answer as the DVLA website has proven fruitless.

When I passed my standard driving test I did so in a manual, however I've been driving auto's for the last 5 years and plan for any future towing vehicle to be the same.

Question is, can you take the towing test in an automatic or does it have to be a manual?

You can take the test in either a manual or an automatic. However, if you do take it in an automatic your licence will then only entitle you to tow with an auto. L

Thanks, don't really care if I can only tow in an automatic, it's been so long since I drove a manual I don't think I can actually remember what a clutch is!!
