I was meant to pick up a new trailer today, but rearranged due to high winds (have to go up the M6 over Thelwall!) but Saturday is also looking windy..any advice?

I won’t tow over 20mph winds. It’s the gusts you need to be more worried about and any exposed areas on your route. Can you not re-schedule?

Forecast 40+mph winds again on Saturday - I wouldn't want to be going over Thelwall with a trailer in that - especially not a new one!

Nope, I'm in a very lightweight set up but have been known to divert off to Warburton bridge if it's feeling fresh. Will only cost you 15 mins and 12p!

I don't tow above 20mph with loaded single trailer

I had to tow over the viaduct the other day (emergency) and it was rough, I wouldn’t risk it. Glad you’ve rescheduled as as someone else said, there’s nowhere to go anyway!

Definitely not with an empty Ascot. I have one and it's quite skittish to tow empty even if it's not windy. Stay safe. Leave it until another day.
