Looking to purchase a small 4x4 to tow a 511 and either a 15'3 ish or a 16'3 warm blood depending on which horse we are taking out,but never both together

Anyone tow with either or have a different idea for a small tow car

We love our Yeti 4x4!
We tow a cheval liberte trailer with a (very) fat native pony and the car barely notices that the trailer is there.
We also use it to cart around the reenactment trailer which weighs about 1.2ton all over the country and again car barely noticed it.

I have a 2ltr diesel 4x4 Yeti and no way would I tow a horse with it!! It's a great little car and quite decent off road but not upto the stress and strain of towing horses. A Tiguan would I think be a better choice or better still the Toureg..If I was towing horses again I would buy a decent meaty truck. Not cheap to run but man enough for the job.

Having now towed with the touareg I have to agree. The tiguan did a great job but I feel so much safer towing with the touraeg and the extra power incase something goes wrong.

We have a yeti and a cheval one horse trailer. We couldn't buy an ifor and be comfortable with the weight. Great for a lightweight set up but wouldn't recommend for a 511 with a horse in it.
