Ah! That would explain a lot, OH and I were looking at one on the motorway this weekend trying to work out why it had shrunk in the wash!
 
Ifor Williams 505 with around 1150kg of horses potentially. I used to have a freelander which on paper should have towed but in practice wasn't great. Have looked at discovery sport because it's small enough to drive for work but then can use for towing but feel it maybe a bit close to the limit x

Technically it should cope but it is very close to its max tow limit

With water and a bale of hay etc as well in the trailer it could go over
 
Yeh thought so, It's normally only daughters pony but would like ability to drag mine out to a party if needs be 😜 will stick to a normal car and hubbies big 4x4 til I can buy a lorry 😆
 
Anybody with updated views on this? I am considering the 2016 auto to pull IW505 plus 2 cobs around 1000kg. They will have small hay net & may be wearing rugs but expect still below 2 Tons combined so have 200kg spare.
