New or old shape?
No personal experience but someone on my yard tows a 15.2 with a 14 plate petrol and says it's a great towing vehicle!

Not sure about shape..its a 2007 I'm looking at tho...I think the max towing weight of the sportage I'm looking at is 1600kg...
I'll have a look on parkers at the 14 plate to see if that's different!

That'll be the older shape, someone at my old yard used to tow 2 x 13.2hh in a very light Bateson trailer with a diesel version on an 08 plate. What trailer will you be using - tow capacity doesn't sound overly generous? Hopefully someone more helpful will be along offer some advise!

Well this is the problem, I won't be doing it very often so will be hiring a trailer...I guess I have to work on 900kg or so for the trailer as a guide...
