Towing with a post 2013 Kia Sorento

Hi I tow an IW511 with 1 x 15.2hh approx 500kg horse, I believe that the towing capacity of the newer Sorento's has been reduce to increase its carbon footprint. I previously towed with a Hyundai Santa Fe which was brilliant and have recently changed to a Sorento so would be interested in people's comments..

Depends what Sorento you've bought. Some have 2000kg capacity and some 2500kg capacity. The autos seem to have the lower 2000kg capacity, I know the newer Santa Fe auto has a 2000kg capacity too but they're essentially the same car. As long as you passed your test before 1997 or have downgraded your trailer to the towing capacity of the vehicle, you will be fine.
