Towing with Freelanders

Hi all,

I've recently bought an Ifor HB401 (single leightwieght trailer), which I am downplating to 1400KG so that the plated weight + weight of a freelander is less than 3.5 tonnes (only have a B licence).

Although the weight I will be towing is WELL within the Freelanders max, I've heard a lot of people say they're not great for towing with.

Thoughts...?

No personal experience but friends tried towing a caravan with a freelander and said it was terrifying and never again

In case anyone is wondering the OP has asked in the HHO TOWING CLINIC and is using a FREELANDER 1 for towing on a B licence
The Freelander 2 is not suitable for B licence towing due to the high GVW
