Towing With L Plates - Can you go on the motorway?

We have been helping a friend get used to towing a horse trailer by going to horse shows with her.
she has a full driving licence but not for towing yet, and has been towing with us & L plates
However we have to go on the motorway tomorrow, can she tow on the motor way?
tried looking on dvla site, but theres nothing ( that i can see!)

I tow with Lplates, am booking my test next week eek! My mum spoke to a senior person at the DVLA office who said I could tow on the motorway, as you already hold a driving licence -unlike when you are learning your not allowed to go on the motorway.
