Towing with Renault Scenic

No, in a word. I have a 2litre espace which just about manages to tow the same weight. You need to find the MAM of the trailer, and the towing capacity of the car out - if car tows less than MAM then no.

Sorry to sound harsh, but imagine getting stuck trying to get up a hill with the trailer!!

I did think it was a no. The previous owner used to tow a caravan with it. When I collected it on Monday I drove past a Scenic pulling a 2 horse trailer with a little (prob about 14hh-15hh) horsie in it and it made me wonder.

The Maximum weight of the trailer is down as 1600kg. But says load capacity 840kg or something and unladen 770kg approx.

I shall have to have a dig about in the manual tonight to find out the kerb weight etc.
