When looking for a bit at Badminton they were by far the cheapest but had sold out of the size I wanted so thought I'd buy from them online.
Would you reccomend buying from them online? I'm not in a rush for the bit but I'd like it quicker than DH's 3 months!
Also how much is their delivery charge?

Can't comment on the on-line service as have never used it because they are my nearest saddlers! They do have a good reputation locally though, and the staff always seem to be extremely helpful and knowledgeable when you go in.

Sorry, that's probably not much help, is it? :)
 
Wow, you lot are on the ball today!

Nice to know that their staff are great as I'd guess these are people that would also sort out the postage and stuff.

Townfields used to be my local saddler.
Now I always use them for my needs, as I live overseas.
In fact a friend is bringing my latest box of goodies this very day!
I would just ring them, they take my card payment over the phone, and delivery is a very reasonable price two days later.
I am glad you found them the cheapest for what you wanted.
The example I would give is their bent leg irons for just £17.50, I now have 2 pairs, and they will order in anything they havent got.

Slightly off topic, but I bought a pair of boots from them at Blenheim last year. Boots fell apart 2 months later and although we had paid cash and stupidly not kept the receipt they were fantastic at sorting the problem for me. They arranged to collect the boots from me via courier (it was during the postal strikes), send them on to manufacturer and organise a replacement pair all within a week. Customer service second to none, Id say, and would definitely recommend them.
 
I moved down to Devon from the Midlands 10 years ago and I really, really miss Townfields!!
I used to love going in and looking at all the really unusual bits that they used to have on display. Glad to know they are on line, I can go back to using them!
 
I placed an order with them last Monday which was a bank holiday and i received it on the Wednesday, very, very impressed.

The delivery charge i paid was 6.95
