Toxic or not?

The resting part of my horse's field is coming back nicely & I thought I'd try to ID what is growing in there. It looks to have a a not insignificant amount of field bindweed (candy striped pink & white) and meadow vetchling in it.

Are these toxic to horses and could someone point me in the direction of more info about this? (ie how to deal with them if they are?!)

Thanks!

It sounds like field bindweed to me.
I have a tiny patch in my field, when I googled it, it's not great for horses. It seems to be on a par to acorns or ragwort - horses aren't likely to eat it but it's not good for them if they do.
By all accounts it's very difficult to get rid of I'm afraid.
There's lots of info on Google which is all I know so it will be interesting to see if anyone comes along with first hand knowledge!

Hmm. Just seen a reply on the Facebook group I'm on saying that field bindweed is fine. Meadow Vetchling is fine too I think. I hope as I have plenty! My horses are mostly trampling it rather than eating it though.

Mine will pick at bindweed and have done for years. I think it's like ivy where they take small amounts because there is something they need in it.
