As long as not pampered to death, they can make a great fun small breed pet, they are very playful and active when given the chance, and like to walk on their own legs and very active and actually make good agility dogs

they are super intelligent as a breed (posibly the most as dog breeds go) and learn very quick, they love their home comforts, snuggly bed and human companionship, they are high maintenance in regard to grooming,(and ears) so frequent trips to the groomers a must, but they are pretty sweet little dogs, but can be snappy little gits when they pampered and spoilt, much like an little dog.
Best to socialise from an early age as they can be a little timid with strangers when they are super dooper pampered and never put down on the floor to mingle.

Agree with Cala 110% Fabby wee dogs and so much fun when not spoiled. Very very clever at getting their owners to do their bidding. I groom one for an older lady that is so high maintenance it's unreal. I groomed another for a horsey woman who lets the dog run and play and be a dog. The horsey woman's dog was so easy to handle and just lovely - very fun and well behaved. The other one....well, lets just say I love her despite her spoiledness.

Toy Poodles are great. Sadly I lost my little man a year ago and miss him daily. They are fantastically intelligent and need to be kept active; although this can cause a few problems when they work things out far to quickly like how to get around your little finger

You need to get them use to being groomed from day one and keeping still when trying to clip those damn awkward places.

Poodles (toys esp) have a very bad rep of being spoilt and pretentious, but treated like any other dog they can be the most loving, loyal companion you will ever find.

As I said I miss by boy ever day - he had been there through so much with me, all my school exams and my degree, and the life stresses that that entails. He was always 'my' dog and I could always get him to do things for me that my parents couldn't (Proud Mummy bit

You have to take into consideration the grooming and ours has a very sensitive tummy so have to watch what hes fed.

Good Luck
