Toy Suggestions for destructive mut!!!

Right. Patterdale mut is a bit of a destroyer and I'm finding it hard to get toys that he doesnt destroy in 10 minutes.

Tennis balls get peeled (yellow fuzz eaten) and then ball eaten in bits.

Those knotted string toys he pulls strands out and eats them , and I dont like them as Im worried the strands will wrap around his insides.

He is 9 months old and has finished teething
Fluffy things with squeekers get ripped apart until he finds the squeeker.

Any ideas please

have you tried a kong?

- can also be stuffed with food (and frozen if you wish!) - keeps them busy for hours!

Yes, Kong are good *Thinks the black ones are toughest* . A Nonhorsey friend of mine went and brought her staffie a horse ball, which It loves. Hours of fun !

Our male springer has destroyed every toy ever given to him, until we got him a flexible rubber bone from Pets At Home.
When we got it i waited to see how long it would take him to "kill" it, and 6 months on i am still waiting! Only £2.99 too!!!

Henry has eaten everything except for his black Kong, a ropey toy (which i am keeping a close eye on for signs of deforestation by the mutt) , and a rubber squeaky chicken that cost about £2 from Champion Pet Supplies in Nuneaton and seems to be indestructable...

Kongs and Orbees are good, the only ones that have lasted with my GSP.

One of our Irish Wolfhound puppies will destory anything he gets his bloody paws on. He'll quietly steal it, then drag it back to his lair where the poor teddy/favourite top/important document that's just come through the post will be ripped to shreds and never seen again. Kongs are definatly good, they keep 'em occupied for ages

I can highly recommend Kongs too, you can get a variety of shapes and sizes too.

Mine like their jolly ball, but that's too big for a Patterdale.

When the jollyball has been forgotten somewhere (it spent 3 months under 2' of snow in the forest this winter) then they help themselves to a bit of tree. I know they shouldn't chew wood, but I have 25 acres of forest to use a doggy takeaway.

I bought them a Kong (at great expense!) they hated it, it is still in pristine condition buried in a drawer somewhere. That's the last toy they have ever been bought.
