So, I need a toy for my horse, he has a ball with feed in it which he plays with and a horse lick which he demolishes in seconds but I need something for him to chew on because he ALWAYS wants to put something in it, even if it is me! I have repremanded him etc.... but he is just a thug and I do not want him to get head shy etc... so I want something for him to be able to play with... possibly dangling in front of his stable door. I have used water bottles, filled with a few stones etc but would like to know if anyone has ever used a toy for dogs ie. a "squiggy" bone or something!!

Apples in water actually sound good... remind me of pony club days and games!! LOL!! I will try that tonight though!

What about one of those rubber horse balls - has a handle that he can get hold of so he can throw it around .............

Or put a couple of apples in his water bucket, they will apple bob for hours!

Just a warning, mine will bob a couple of times and if he can't get the apples he kicks his water bucket over and then has no water all night! No more apple bobbing for him!

Ha!

Like the thought of him aiming it at people!! Te He!! Think a jolly ball is going to be ordered, or maybe two!!!

Will watch the apple bobbing too (if he kicks the bucket or not!)

My horse also demolishes his lickit in a very short time - I've found that slices of swede threaded on to the holder keep him amused for far longer - he can't lick swede off and it's reasonably hard for him to get a bite so it takes time and persistence!

My fella loves apple bobbing too - but it lasts minutes not hours

I wouldnt buy two, just try it 1st.
I bought one for my very mouthy and playful filly and shes never touched it and neither have any of the other horses on the yard.
