tracing a pony through a microchip only

The vets have given me the micro chip number and as the passport doent match the pony i am trying to find the details for the pony i have just bought.
 
Hang on a moment, I think you've already emailed me about this a few months back ? I'm sure you told me that you'd got it all sorted with the differences between the 2 connemara ponies and their passports and that the Connemara society had told you who your pony was ???
 
He is a grey gelding approx 14h he is very nervous my vet says that he must be about 6 so the passport says he is 5 but he said he isnt that young but doesnt yet have the 7 year hook.
 
Sounds like you have been sold the same pony that I was asked to look into his passport/microchip number not matching.

Pretty certain they got it sorted by asking Connemara Society about the chip number
 
have spoken to the previous owner who has said that she contacted the connie society and they said that the chip was one of theirs but they had no other details! How strange
