I am trying to trace an old pony of mine, registered name Tawna Sunbeam but stable name was Saffron. He'd be about 7, possibly 8 or so now. He's a Chestnut Miniature Shetland with flaxen mane & tail, a very small white star on his forehead, quite faint so could have grown out by now. Approximately 28/30 inches
Could be nippy on very slight occasions but very friendly & adores children & very, very good with them. Broken to ride. Could be difficult withe the farrier on occasions but had grown out of it when he left us.
He was sold to a lady in Berkshire with his field mate, a bay unregistered mini Shetland called Nutmeg, not the greatest confo but the sweetest temperament ever. These two were nearly inseparable & would pine without the other if separated for a large amount of time.
Saffron was sold to her for her son to ride & Nutmeg as he had to go with Saffron due to their closeness.
Unfortunately it was not my choice to sell them, I had to sell them to pay off a livery debt my father had run up. I did have the lady's number but it was a difficult time & I lost it. It has been a very difficult few years which is why I am trying to trace them now as I really wanted to keep in touch & make sure thay had settled ok. I had no worries with the lady who took them on as she was lovely & I'd very good things about how she kept her animals.
I would just love to know how they are both doing & thought I'd try here before anywhere else, such as breed society. If anyone has any advice on other places I could try it would be much appreciated.
Thank you!
ETA; they are both geldings. And Nutmeg could be nervy & headshy until you earnt his trust, he'd not been handled until he was six months old & then grabbed by the ears & shoved in a trailer to be bought to me. I paid £20 for him. Either I took him or the meatman did
Gentle in the extreme & not a bad bone in his body.
