I sold my horse through h&h this time last year and have regretted it ever since....

His name is Bruno (passported Tennyson/Big Shot), a 17hh hanovarian (Argentinus) x AES (Big Time) approx 11 years old now. Very distinctive markings with white blaze and 4 white legs.

The woman I sold him to was called Clare Conlan. All I know is that she was from the Wigan area although she used Cheshire vets for the vetting (Paul Thomason). To cut a long story short, all my efforts to ensure he went to a good home appear to have gone to waste as ever since Clare been unreachable. I am utterly devastated....

It was such a sad and difficult decision to make to have to sell him. He was truly the horse of a lifetime. All I want is to know that he is Ok. Please please please if anyone out there knows anything please let me know.

I remember giving her directions from Wigan when she first came to try him, but other than that I cant be 100% sure where she was from. The day he went was so traumatic I never got a proper address, I thought a telephone number would be enough to keep in touch, but she just ignores my calls

do you think you might know her quirky?

Unfortunately, you cannot make someone stay in touch with you. When you sell a horse you have to accept you are no longer in control. I think you have to trust your own instincts, you wouldn't have sold him if you didn't think it was the right home for him.

I don't know her but there is a Claire Conlan who has a livery yard about 2 miles from where I keep mine.
I know the farrier who does her yard, so I could ask him if there is a horse of that name/description.

Thats interesting wildriding1, I'm really hoping its not something cynical. Have you got any more information please? A number, address, contacts etc..

Also, you dont know if she happens to sell to America? I'm only asking because the people that came to see Bruno before Clare were dealers (Irish) based in Preston nr. Wigan. I wanted a good home for him where I knew where he was going (how ironic!) so I said they couldnt have him even though they were really eager... My minds been spinning that perhaps they might have been connected...
