Hi Guys,

I have a 17 year old tb who used to be a polo pony but was then used as a broodmare.

I was given her as she would not breed anymore and they would send her off to RSPCA or meat man otherwise. They had no passport for her and she wasn't microchipped (well the vet couldn't find one)

What I was wondering was whether there was any chance I could find out her breeding at all. I know it's a long shot but I want to try!

Thanks in advance

Do you have a name for her? Could the old owners give you some history? She should have been registered with the HPA if she's played polo (I think!) but likely owners lost passport if she's retired...

The only name I have for her is Jess! Just spoken to old owners and they got given her as well! She has polo numbers in her coat could this help?

If you have a passport number you can enter it into NED online and something should come up. You can look up "reports on this horse" which should show up any progeny if there are any. You have to pay about £5 to see progeny info.

Yeah I could do that! Have to wait for her winter coat to come out a bit more but it is a 2 in a circle with a 1 2 underneath it! Thanks for your help
