have had my boys passport back after change of detail and was looking at his dam and sire would love to trace them but the details on passport are vague

his dam is dark delight breed DWD
sire black night breed DWD thats it

i know he was imported from ireland but thats it as well hes had bad history until he met his previous owner any idears how to find them?

That's going to be more tricky then. As neither his dam nor his sire appear to have registered names, that will make it more tricky as well (they seem to have showlike names). For eg, my boy is Trenawin Laureate and all horses bred by his breeder have the prefix Trenawin and then a unique second name. His dam was Trenawin Aurora as she was also bred by his breeder. If you had that kind of knowledge, it may make it easier to trace as you could then find other horses with the same name, probably via google (I have found loads of Trenawins on google).

I assume you've tried google to find them? There are also websites where you can trace horse's breeding.

his show name (my boy) is bergendorff bennson

no age with his dam sire all info above is all thats on passport

I don't think you'll be able to trace his breeder through his show name, as that is a name that will have been given to him by one of his owners who may not have known anything either. For eg, my friend gave her registered ID the show name Miss Congeniality but she only bought her as a 5 year old.
