Hi all, I'm sourcing insurance for my small Lorry, and they mention about needing trackers fitted. As someone who has never owned a vehicle expensive enough to need one, could someone fill me in on the details of what I need to know. Many thanks x

As per cold_feet, I have just insured a new lorry with SEIB, they gave the best quote and just asked whether it had a factory fitted immobiliser. If you are a member of BE you can get a further discount with SEIB. I missed out on the discount as I didn't realise until I'd agreed on the insurance! Also worth looking at whether the insurance includes any driver or named driver - it made a difference of about £100 with some companies.

Ok thank you. Would having one fitted lower the insurance though. Plus how do trackers work? Do you just pay a one off fitting price or do you have to renew it for it to keep it being Tracked? If that makes sense! Sorry if these are numpty questions!
