Tracking down a breeder...

I want to track down the breeders of my goldie as I either want to get a pup from them or an ex-breeding bitch. I can't find her pedigree papers tho

If I ring the Kennel Club with her pedigree name and date of birth will they be able to find their name and give me their details?

The kennel club can not give you the breeders details unfortunatly. but if you know your dogs registered name there maybe a breed database online that has the breeders name against your dogs name, and then if you know what part of the country it was bred you can check the phonebook.

I recently had to do this, as i wanted to buy a dog from someone who had lost his papers and had never registered him in their name, was a nightmare but my detective work paid off lol

Yes you can, if the dog is registered in your name then they will send you a copy of the pedigree . I did this for my old golden retriever last year but ended up getting another who is completely different lines but absolutely super.
