Tracking down old horses

I want to track down a mare I had on loan with view to buy a few years back. It went tits up and she was sent back down south.
But where on earth do I start?!

I've got no idea but would love to know, I'd love to track down my old pony.

I found an ad last night that quite by chance had the name and address of the person I sold my mare to 24 year ago! I never followed her up after the sale as it was very upsetting and I just had to move on. I assumed that this person would have moved over the years so I took the opportunity to contact her through the ad. I hav'nt heard back yet so maybe she thinks I'm a bit odd for asking after all this time. I don't expect that the horse would be alive still as she would have to be near 30!!

Oh if you find out then please let me know as I have lost contact with my old pony (Ella May) owner and would love to know how she is!! I did put a post on here with photos a while back but got no replies.
