Hi everyone,
We recently bought a lovely little coloured cob, hes only 14.0hh so i know hes too small for show cob category, but i really think hed be a good "show" pony, so ive seen that he can do the traditional cob classes.
We are looking to register him with CHAPS, he is a lovely piebald and very traditional gypsy cob, chunky but a bit small.

Does anyone have any advice for where to look for classes, and what levels should we be looking at etc. Any information you can share will be greatfully received.

Also any advice on getting those feathers looking good as ive never had a cob before!!

Thank you!! :D

chaps and bspa.. they do both non native classes as well as things like the chaps factor..

other levels, you can do amature produced classes, novice classes etc so quite a lot open to you.

feathers.. i done a test with baby oil and pig oil and sulpher the baby oil worked just aswell as the pig oil,. this was only in the winter as my cob lived out. apply down to the skin, they will look grubby as hell on the out side but clean inside.. if that makes sence.

I used to keep my boys as clean as possible with the odd quick wash hear and there as in i used to stick leg in a big tubtrug light shampoo and rince off.
