Traditional Cobs National Showing Final

We are the new showing society for showing traditional cobs. We are holding qualifiers across the UK for our National Finals at Addington in October. The classes are for all traditional cobs solid, coloured etc. The classes range from in hand youngstock to open riddens, workers, showmans and loads more with championships and supremes in the evening performances

We were originally looking at a 2 day final with evening performances on both nights but we have the chance of three days and 3 evening performances.

We are just trying to gauge the numbers before we finalise the bookings. How many traditional owners would be looking for that kind of show or would you prefer one big day and one evening.

HELP!!!! lol
 
A two day final would be my preference. I do the BSPA summer champs which last year were on two days, and before have been over three days and did prefer the two day format, but I only have one horse to show so I can fit plenty in over two days. Also less expensive stabling and time off work does help.

I hope the society is going well and you are getting members. I plan to join next year, but this year I can't due to the illness and I will have to also get him measured, something I have not needed to do as being over 153, all the other societies he shows with do not need him to be measured.
 
I think the measuring issue will put some off. Like you Theresa we have a larger coloured trad cob that does not need to be measured for BSPA or CHAPS classes. A friend has just gone through the process and with shoes on/off, vets fees, Transport etc it cost at least £150.
Showing is expensive enough which is why we have to stick with unaffiliated and local this year as the memberships for horse, handler or rider plus transport and entry fees is prohibitive. Good luck with your society and I hope support grows for this type of class.

Hi guys sorry I thought this had been all posted. You do not need them to be measured we scrapped that about day 2. You also do not need to be a member to enter one of our classes if you qualify you have 2 weeks to register you and your horse to enter the finals
 
i'm glad you have put off the measurements etc as it was starting to get expensive and this will be the first time doing big shows if we can get to some classes.
Will there be any classes in the suffolk norfolk area
