Trail Blazers?

Trailblazers SJ is run at various centres around the country running the following classes; 75cm, 85cm, 95cm, 105cm. In order to qualify to the 2nd round you must jump a double clear, you will then send off your qualification sheet and a check of £12. You will then be sent a qualifying card needed for the 2nd rounds. The 2nd rounds are run over 3 rounds with each centre running one 2nd round for each height. The top 4 riders/horse combo after round 3 qualify for the finals held at the beginning of august at Stoneleigh.
I qualified and went to the finals, the courses were really well built with flowers, water trays etc. It was a great experience even though i came home with no rossette, just being the one who got thrown off in both jump offs! The finals do get quite beefy, the 85cm was around 1m.

OOOO! Thanks for that Lizzie. I dont think I'm brave enough to jump 1m!
Maybe I should have a go at the 75cm first. Do know if it is normal practice to jump horses and ponies around the same course of jumps without altering the distances?

The local centre to me builds one course "suitable for horse and pony distances". Im not sure that I can get Holly through doubles and things if the distances are a bit short.
Cheers

Our local TB course it built the same for horses and ponies but it consists of two seperate doubles, one at horse stride and one at pony stride so you can choose which one you want to do.

its definately worth it! i have jumped there the past three years on ponies and there are two seperate rings so no need to worry about striding. its a real sense of occasion!
