Hi, I am attending the Trailblazers championships this weekend and wondered whether anyone can give advice on the standard of dressage? I'm competing in junior prelim but I wasn't sure whether it would be hugely competitive and whether there would be harsher judging? My pony gets around 69/70% unaffiliated and affiliated gets around 65/66%. I went to the riding club championships and only got 63% however there was someone on my arena in the 40s (I got an individual placing) so I don't know whether it will similar to riding club? Sorry for the long paragraph!

Thanks :)

Hi, well done for qualifying! I qualified last year in the senior preliminary and felt the standard of judging was probably similar to affiliated. It's a real championship atmosphere and a great experience. Don't get too hung up about your scores just aim to have a lovely time at a 'big party' with your horse and enjoy yourself.
