How proffesional is this? I want to do something during Feb and this is the nearest thing to me (Lordsbridge) that hasn't closed but I just want to make sure I won't be completly out of place!

- I am getting between 58% and 66% prelim (at the lower end when I am making a complete shambles of everything) and have only had one go at novice - nearly 60% - but all at UNAFFILIATED level.

Thanks if anyone can give some info.

I've never done Trailblazers myself, but having heard others talking about it I think it is quite well run, uses listed judges, and is aimed at people like you! I think if you are getting the scores you say at affiliated, you should find Trailblazers just fine!

You will be just fine, you get all shapes & sizes, which is what the competition is aimed at. I have been to the championships twice on my welsh sec c, at prelim & elementary. Have to say the "ordinary" horse did not feature too much at the top end of the line up at the championships, but if you have been doing affil you will be fine. I'm off to my first affil next weekend, so have the same worries as you, ie that everyone will be on 18hh of £100,000 wb, & I'll be on my 14hh welsh X!!

You'll be fine! To qualify for the 2nd rounds you only need to score 58% and then you can send off for your 2nd round card so it sounds well within your reach!

At the 2nd rounds you need to be in the top 5 but you can do as many 2nd rounds as you like.

Are you going to Lordsbridge on the 17th? I might be going too

My horse has already qualified but she's only done SJ the last few months so we need to get back into the dressage frame of mind!

Yes, I think I might - I just need to make sure I get my entry in on time once I have decided whether to have a go at novice and prelim or just prelim.

You'll be fine there, i went there to do my qual for trailblazers. bit cold and u do need to watch out in the warm up. Also they only run one class of each level. so there entire day is three classes!

Echo what CrazyHippo says, only need to get 58% to qualify for round 2, sounds like just the right level for you. I do TB dressage and love it, there are all different shapes and sizes and everyone seems really friendly.
