Trailer advise

Hey guys

I have an 18.2 WB who I am struggling to find a trailer or box for due to his size I have been looking into the hb511

Any advise would be greatly appreciated

I have a 17.1 who fits in my 510 with plenty of room.
You would probably have to travel your boy without partitions for comfort

You should be fine on a 511 especially without the partition.

A herringbone style trailer will easily take the length of the horse as the partitions move. I'm not sure about the head height, if trailers like the 511 are recommending max size is 2 x 17.2. Moving the partition doesn't give you more headroom.

Does he travel well and quietly? Someone I know had a big 17.3 in a 505, added padding over the horse's head just in case, and he was fine.

Travelling without the partition doesn't add more headroom, but if he can stretch his body more lengthways he might be more likely to carry his head a little lower.

I travelled my 17.1 in a 505 without a partition. He was very quiet to travel and was absolutely fine.

If he's a good traveller I think he'd be fine in a 511 without the partition to give him more room. You could use a poll guard to give extra protection.

Look at Nugent Trailers, I park mine next to an Ifor 511 and it's noticeable taller.
