Trailer breach bar height

I've got my lovely new 505 now and my boy travelled in it for the first time to our new yard today.
I couldn't decide what height I should have the front breach bar at though- the higher option has it at the bottom of his throat but the lower one seems too low!
Which height do people use for their 15/15.1 horses ?

I use the top one, and mine is also 15.1. I know exactly what you mean about looking like it's "at the bottom of his throat", but I think if he was pitched forward it would probably be up against the top of his chest. The bottom setting looks far too low - I'd worry about him going over it in an accident.

Actually, just re-read your thread title - I'm talking about the breast bar. But I put the breach bar on the top setting too.

Thanks I think I'll do the same as the lower one did look too low on his chest
