trailer bum rubbing

hi
has anyone had a bum rubber whilst in the trailer. we had a 510 and have just upgraded to a 511 but romeo 16"2 still insists on rubbing his bum on the rear ramp and trying to sit on top of ramp whilst travelling, on two occasions taking fur back to skin and bleeding. he seems better without tail guard or bandages and couldn't do it with a rug on but then was sweating badly. any helpful suggestions appreciated

Would like to know answer too as mine does the same in my Bateson trailer. Just had the mats fixed to the floor as he used to push them into the front of the trailer. Back lady advised this as not doing his back much good.
