Does anybody use a trailer camera and if so what are they like. I am debating a wireless one as I want to make sure the horse is ok when travelling but have heard that the signal sometimes isnt very good so would a wired one be better and are they difficult to fit?
Does anybody have any recommendations or tips please.
Thanks

I've just done a bit of research on this, as I've had cctv in my lorry for years and wanted one in the car now I am towing again.

I decided to go for the Trailer Vision wireless system, and it is very very good. I got mine through www.i4hire.co.uk which was slightly cheaper than getting it from Trailer Vision themselves, as they don't charge postage. I had a small problem with the battery pack, the aftersales was brilliant, very friendly and helpful. It's very easy to install, and I would recommend it highly.

If you are putting one in a lorry though, I would def go for the wired in version.

I got a cctv system from Maplin, you connect it to the battery and there is a small tv screen which I fixed to the dash, the cameras are quite small but show the whole of the inside of the box, I also attached one to the rear to use for reversing. Cost me about £50 (was half price at the time though), very simple to install

Ive got a wireless trailer vision set and its great, my husband put the mountings in for the camera and i just screw it on when getting ready to go out. the monitor i have has a sticky thing so sits on the windscreen, i have never had a problem with a signal, if i go to a show on my own i can leave her in the trailer with the ramp down at the front munching hay and go book in but because i have the monitor i can still watch and hear her snorting and scoffing so it always causes amusement at the sec tent!!. I have had mine over a year now and love it, it has made me a much more confident tower too!!
I got it from http://www.trailervision.co.uk/
Hope that helps
