Hi,
Does anyone know the difference to weight changing a trailer from a wooden floor to an aluminium floor?
Looking at an ifor Williams 510 and VIN plate says 1292kg but I’m assuming that’ll it be lighter as it’s had an aluminium floor put in, and would’ve originally had a wooden.
Thank you!

The unladen weight of my 2006 Ifor 510, which was factory fitted with an aluminium floor, is 1000kg. That’s a big weight difference if the wooden floored 510s weighed 292 kg more.

Ifor retro fitted the aluminium floors to their trailers for free after bad publicity when the original wooden floors rotted.

Great, thank you! Just trying to figure out towing capacity. Planning to take it to a weigh bridge but just to get a general idea 😊

That's what I did when I weighed mine unladen. And then took it straight back but laden this time. On another horse I just hacked up to the weighbridge and stood him on it!
