Trailer Colour - Opinions please re saleability

We currently have a pony trailer which needed painting, my 4 year old daughter chose the colour, and I have to say - I love it too....... It is Barbie Pink!!! I completely understand that pink is like marmite!!! On the plus side everyone knows when we arrive at shows, the kids can always see it and there is no danger of any other road users missing it!!

However, we now have a lorry so need to sell the trailer, either way the trailer needs another coat of pink (the paint is there ready), so do I.....

Put on another coat of pink 'look at me' and put on ebay

or

Buy some blue paint and return it t the original colour so it looks like all the others and put on ebay?

I dont expect a fortune for it, an although we have put in a new floor etc, would be happy with my money back but which would make it more saleabe???

As much as I like pink, I would have thought that selling a pink trailer regardless of condition would be a much harder task than selling a blue one.
Look at KP lorries... I get the impression not many would be seen dead driving them (or is it the KP logo??)

I'd vote for blue over pink.
 
i dont personally like pink, but i know loads of people love it, so i say touch it up in the pink :D

as for the new KP pink Equi-Trek, I think it would be the naff logo that would put me off it :)
 
Personally, I would only consider buying a pink trailer if it was cheap and could be re-painted fairly easily.

Someone was advertising a Bateson with a pink stripe - even that put me off, I'm afraid...

Paint the trailer blue - paint your new lorry pink!
 
I'd go with blue too, as you say, pink is a real 'marmite' colour and i imagine would put lots of people off. As with some others, i wouldnt buy one unless it was cheap enough to get resprayed. Also, i think you'd be blocking out a fair chunk of your market as i doubt many men would want to buy a pink trailer :D
 
Oh I would go with the pink personally but then again I want the words '' Very important Dressage Mare'' on the side of my trailer so i wouldn't listen to me... lolololol

But.. You already have the pink so why not retouch it with that people will spend more money IMO to get this novelty colour as it will stand out and there are a tonne of pink lovers out there myself (at 27!!) included lol

If it doesn't sell then blue it is.

Someone locally had a really ramshackle old 3.5tonne horsebox for sale.

He painted it bright pink and put "I love my pony" on the sides.

It sold for much, much more than it was worth.....

Go for pink. It makes me shudder but it will sell your trailer for you.
 
Thank you every-one, Im thinking I may second coat the pink and try it as I already have the pink paint, Im only starting the bidding at 350 so dont want to spendmore money on more paint (only used it twice since it had the new floor) but need it to go asap as dot want to get in trouble with the landlords for having too many vehicles at home (we have grumpy neighbours, and the lorry is quite imposing!!!) If it doesnt sell I will have to buy the blue and recoat!!!!
