Hi all

Got my new trailer and the floor is sound apart from a small area one edge about 2 inches square. I bought it assuming I would need to replace thelot but someone in the yard mensioned repairing it?

Any ideas how I would do this?

The floor looks to be made from a thick marine type ply coated in a rubber type stuff  there fixed in sections so I could replace just that piece?

Any idiot diy instructions greatly received! ;)

Personally I'd take it to a specialist - if one part has gone then the rest might well need doing too. It's not a risk I'd be prepared to take! When I had mine done I took it to Cotswold Trailers but they'd be a bit far for you to travel to :)

The rubber granular material is bad news as it makes it difficult to check on any rotting wood underneath it. Get it removed and have rubber matting fitted.
I would take it to a specialist trailer company and get them to check it out thoroughly. Also get them to check out all the mechanical parts as well and get them to also check out that the tyres on it are genuine trailer tyres and not car tyres. Also ensure that the tyres are inflated to the correct pressure.
