Sorry sure this has been asked lots of times but I'm looking to replace our old Rice trailer floor, the current one is OK but a bit of movement is starting in some planks.

What wood is the best type to use for the job and any good tips on doing the work??

Thanks

I'd send it to a professional to get the job done properly rather than trying it yourself (unless you're v. good at this sort of thing!)

So would I

OH is a carpenter, no chance of me trying it !! A professional has looked over trailer last year and said floor was ok but was an easy job to go over it for peace of mind, just can't remember what he said to use!

If you're going for a total replacement rather than fixing nthe loose boards I'd say use double thickness 18mm Marine Ply to make 36mm & ensure that the sheets are stuck together with plenty of waterproof upva wood glue. This is a job that could easily be tackled by your OH, he's a carpenter!
