My 4yro Vinnie is currently 17.2hh and in 7'3ft rugs and I fully expect him to grow a bit more so presuming he will end around 18hh; should have taken him out of his grow bag a bit earlier ;)

We currently have a Ifor 510 which is really too small for him heightwise and lengthwise- he gets in with help from a shoe horn but it doesn't seem very comfy for him and I don't want to put him off travelling.

Obviously we have taken out the partition but even diagonally he struggles :(

I have looked into a 3.5t horsebox but they seem to have smaller internal dimensions that our 510 so unless anyone knows if you can get taller ones they have to be discounted.

Soooo.... are there any trailers out there with bigger internal dimensions that the Ifor 510?
Ideally 4+ inches taller and 5+ inches longer from breast bar to breach bar?

Thanks for help- I can't offer anything other than painkillers as struggling today with my broken collarbone which has decided to move and looks like one of the broken ends wants to come through my skin :( :( :(
Back to hospital tomorrow but until then I am trying to take my mind off the pain with trailer shopping!!

I am also looking for something like this, Pegasus appear to be able to custom build to allow extra length and are already easily tall enough. The alternative for me is a 3 horse trailer and shuffling the partitions around to suit

I have a Fautras trailer... Can't remember the model now, but it's the 2 horse one and I have travelled 2 x 17.2 w/b's in it... We did have it made though, it is the widest trailer you can legally have on UK roads... Look em up, It's great - It doesn't have a ramp and is great for bigger horses, mares and foals, bad loaders etc...They travel herringbone :)

xx

I have a richardson supreme grand 2x 17.2hh, it's got 7'6 headroom (I believe that is 3' more than the ifor 510 which is it's equivalent) but they do an even bigger model as said previously the ultra is even bigger with 7'8 headroom and longer! Have a look at http://www.richardsontrailers.co.uk...ml?PHPSESSID=6f5b77158ce3b8e14eca79fa4a67fa50

BTW I love my richardson!!! Prefer then to ifors for internal room.

thanks everyone.

Ifor 510 has internal height of 7'7 so need something minimum of 7'10- not only is Vinnie a tall boy but he has a long neck and carries his head quite high.

length and width is easier as the wider the trailer the more diagonally he can stand so not so set on length/width as long as the diagonal gets bigger.

I have looked at the 3 horse trailers which may be the best solution with partition jiggling- will check all links posted now.

thanks again.

I have the Richardson supreme Ultra, it takes two 18hh horses, mine is 18.2hh and there is plenty of room, easy to tow, and when the door opens its cut back into the roof so more room for when they come out.
