I've been looking at trailers for sale and found one that states the internal dimensions are height 1.98m length ( from breach bar) 1.72m, but the owners not sure what height horse/pony would travel in it comfortably as they have only used it for miniatures. So does anyone have an idea of what height horse could travel in it? Thanks

We have an Ifor 505 and travel a 17.1 warmblood in it. We used to travel her on one side then made the decision that as we only had the one horse to take out the partition and let her travel crosstied with full breach bars front and back. She has plenty of room.

I think there are actual legal requirements and have an idea the roof must be at least 750mm above the horse's withers. Does that sound right? You could try the DEFRA site….or better still phone Ifor Williams. Or even try a Google.
