Hey all

Have been searching for an ifor 510 for AGES and found two "bargains". Basically one is £2300 just needs a hinge replacing (I checked with local ifor stockist and it will be about £30.) It's in Staffs and I'm in Cardiff but my Grandfather can go and check it out as he lives in Shrops. Have had the serial number but no service hsitory as been done by owners.

Then the other is a newer trailer comes with free tack pack and bulldog lock. Is in Scotland so delivery is included in the price which is....£2000!! But obviously I can't go and see it although have had more pics sent to me and he has said I can have it for 14 days and if not up to scratch he will accept returns. He doesn't have serial number to hand as it is kept at a fmaily members farm 3 hours from him. But has got service history. He has no feedback on ebay though.

What to do?!?! Risk the cheaper and younger trailer with all the extras or pay more for the other after grandfather inspected it. BOth genuine reasons for sale...apparantly....just not in use anymore.

Help me decide please?!!!! Choccie hob nobs for all

i would look at them first before parting with money :D

I would definitely ask him to ring the family member to get the serial number so you can do a check on it......It would be awful to have bought a stolen trailer and have it taken away from you further down the line....

I would then want *loads* of photos before making my mind up!!

I would suggest caution with the Scottish trailer. That does seem rather cheap for a 510 with the extras and with no feedback etc and you've not got any guarantee that he would or could refund the money to you if you found everything was not to your liking.

I would def see both trailers though - servicing yourself would not be impossible if you knew what you were doing - and I think if I were spending that amount of money I would want to see exactly what I was getting before parting with my £'s!
