I'm thinking of buying a second hand trailer and wonder if you guys can tell me what I need to know about insurance & breakdown cover and anything else I haven't thought of!

Thanks :)

I added my trailer to my horse insurance. I think is about £120 a year but this will vary depending upon the value of your trailer, where it is kept etc.

I have RAC cover for my car which is £0 as I pay with my Tesco clubcard vouchers. Trailer rescue is £45 per annum with PRP which is a bolt on to the RAC cover.

Do read the small print concerning the breakdown cover and understand exactly what will happen if you can't be fixed be the roadside.... cheapest not a desirable solution for the horse or your wallet in the end!
